Description

ON-ISLAND CONTRACTORS ONLY The Upper Gabion Wall is located at the western end of Jersey Airport and forms part of the retaining structures supporting the land beyond the runway (built in 1975). The objective of Ports of Jersey is to undertake a precise topographic survey of the Upper Gabion Wall to establish whether any ongoing movement or instability exists within the structure. The survey will establish a baseline dataset against which future monitoring can be undertaken and will support future engineering assessments of the wall's condition. The works are to be completed efficiently, safely and without impact on airport operations. ON-ISLAND CONTRACTORS ONLY Keywords: Survey, Gabion Wall, Topographic survey
