School cleaning services

The successful supplier will be required to provide cleaning services at Alderbrook School as set out in the cleaning specification included in the tender documents. Full details about Alderbrook School can be obtained by visiting www.alderbrookschool.co.uk Objectives: 1) We require a fixed price contract cost to the school; 2) We are seeking proposals to maintain and improve the cleaning services whilst remaining cost effective and serving the entire school community; 3) There are currently approximately 1 500 pupils and 220 teaching and support staff at the school; 4) The contract is being tendered for 36 months from August 2019 to July 2022, with the possibility to extend for a further 2 twelve month terms dependent upon supplier performance; 5) The contract is fixed price for the 3-year period with the supplier to invoice the school for one twelfth of the annual cost on a monthly basis. Any variations to the contract that are requested by the school should be invoiced at the agreed rate and calculated on an hourly rate per employee needed to carry out he variation to the contract to the satisfaction of the contract supervising officer. Whilst the monthly charge will represent one twelfth of the annual contract cost, a reconciliation will take place monthly to reconcile the actual hours worked within the contract. If the hours worked are less than those budgeted for a credit will be required by the school. The school requires that the tendered amount of hours are worked at all times. The basis and rationale that the school requires the successful supplier to operate to all times is being able to provide a clean school that is fit for purpose and the supplier is proactive in the management of all elements of the contract, including provision of staff, equipment and consumables.
