My Open Library system for Westport new Public Library

Description

Mayo County Council requires an integrated, fully supported automated system to facilitate the delivery of a My Open Library service in the new Westport Library. The Regeneration of the Sisters of Mercy Convent Site entails the development of a new Public Library, Civic Offices, Community Facilities, and Public Realm/Civic Spaces located within the existing grounds of the historic former Convent on Altamont Street, in the centre of Westport town. Works are underway and the MOL installation is required as part of the library fitout installation. The new public library strategy, The Library is The Place was launched in July 2023. The strategy seeks to improve access, use and visibility of the library as a community hub and develop it as a focal point for community development. A key action in the strategy is to extend opening hours, to ensure that each library provides the optimum staffed service and operates the My Open Library service in appropriate branches. This Call for Tenders for the Westport Library My Open Library installation is an open tender competition (below OJEU threshold) incorporating an initial Compliance and Selection Criteria (Stage 1) and Contract Award Evaluation (Stage 2) based on Quality / Price.
