Description

Bromford has approximately 43,000 homes, maintaining them to a high standard, while preventing the occurrence of responsive repairs. Bromford has individual relationships with more than 100,000 customers and aims to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, and advocacy, by providing homes in great condition, which enable its customers to thrive. We believe in providing warm, safe and secure homes, and a key way we do this is through our annual planned maintenance programmes.

Our hard landscaping and garage demolition programme is currently carried out by both external contractors and our in-house service delivery teams across our four localities. Existing contracts have been developed to take into account a variety of archetypes and geographical locations across the West Midlands, North Gloucestershire and Bristol. The intent of the tender exercise is to align the work programmes under one or possibly two contracts.

Scope

The successful Contractor(s) will be required to deliver a planned programme of works across Bromfords four localities.

The break-down below sets out the type of works to be undertaken and completed during each financial year :

Scope of Work % of Spend

Asphalt Concrete inc. associated Drainage 65%

Block Paving / PCC Flags / Steps 9%

Resin Bound Aggregate / flexible rubber porous paving 13%

Demolition 9%

Soft landscaping 4%

Lots

Due to the geographic spread of our properties, as well as differing materials required for each area, and the varying mix in workload; It has been decided the works / tender will be split into two lots, based on the four localities, and grouped into a North area (Lot 1) and a South area (Lot 2).

It is expected each area’s requirements will differ slightly according to location and property archetypes. For example, resin bound aggregate is more commonly used in Lot 2, whilst Asphalt Concrete is more common in Lot 1.

Lot 1 will cover both the Staffordshire & The Marches, and the Central Localities,

Lot 2 will cover both the North Gloucestershire, and the West of England Localities. Tenderers will be permitted to tender for individual Lots, or both Lots
Keywords: Demolition, Hard landscaping, Resurfacing
