Hampshire County Council operates (or assists in operating) many buildings across the county such as offices, schools, libraries, adult care centres, museums, country parks, leisure facilities, etc. which require security services in the form of static manned guarding, mobile patrols, unlock and lock up and alarm response to make safe. This notice is to advise of the award for the provision of these services. HCC owns and/or operates a wide variety of corporate buildings and facilities across Hampshire such as HQ offices, regional offices, libraries, country parks, leisure facilities, adult care homes, children’s care homes, plus HCC also provide FM services to over 150 schools across the county. Almost all of these buildings have some security requirements, the scope and extent of which is summarised below. Comprehensive security to cover all the following requirements: • static security guarding – day patrols and/or night patrols, • mobile security guarding – day patrols and/or night patrols, • temporary electronic surveillance and intruder alarm systems, • key holding, • gate keeping and lock up, • buddy service (with or without pick-up), • emergency response to provide security to vulnerable sites after a threat has been identified, or after an event such as a break in, fire or flood, • 24/7 control room operation, • CCTV monitoring, • signage on site as deterrent. HCC have now awarded the provision of a comprehensive security service to a single supplier (Contractor) across the estate on a 5-year initial term contract basis plus further period of 2 years optional extension.
