Methods of analysis for additional NDNS biomonitoring

Description

The aim is to develop a range of analytical methods designed for the measurement of biomarkers for chemicals of strategic interest to the FSA, and to test these methods on a small sample of stored biological samples from the National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS) Bioresource. This is a multi-lot tender; Chemical Contaminants (Mycotoxins (Lot 1) Food Additives (Nitrates and Nitrites – Lot 2) and Metals (Lot 3)) The anticipated start date for the project, which is split into three stand-alone Lots, is 1 October 2026, with an estimated budget of £100,000 (exc. VAT) for Lot 1 and £50,000 (exc. VAT) for each of Lots 2 and 3, and an end date of 30 July 2027 (with a 3-month optional extension).
