Description

National Grid intends to procure its HVDC technical services and consultancy requirements via a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). The intention for the DPS is to tender suitable support service work for both services to Cable and/or Converter requirements. The DPS shall be open to all of National Grid businesses. Predominantly, National Grid Interconnector Holdings Limited, National Grid Interconnectors Limited and their subsidiaries. However the list of entities within this notice is not exhaustive. The reason for is that, during the DPS period new businesses are likely to be established which will benefit from access to this process. This will be the first time a DPS has been used within National Grid. Should the trial be a success it is envisaged that other works, goods and services will be provided using this method. The trial will run from 10.3.2017 to 31.12.2017. The Contract Notice for this DPS is planned to run for an initial 3 year period. The dates, including the trial period are 10.3.2017 to 31.12.2020. Notice of completion of the trail will be published via the OJEU Contract Notice and National Grid reserves the right not to extend the DPS past the trial period. In the initial set-up stage, all suppliers who meet the selection criteria and are not excluded will be admitted to the DPS. There will be no limit on the number of suppliers that may join the DPS for each category of work. New suppliers can apply to join the DPS at any point during its lifetime. Individual contracts are awarded during the second, ITT, stage. In this stage, National Grid will invite all DPS members for the required category to tender for a specific contract. The specific works that may be procured under the DPS cannot be clearly defined at this stage, although the scope of work for this DPS will provide further details. The DPS itself does not form a contract. Any invitations for tender will conclude in awardee(s) contracting with National Grid based on the terms and conditions contained within the PQQ documentation. However no obligations are placed on National Grid to procure any works using this DPS. To register your interest in this procurement event and to obtain its documentation, Applicants are to email box.GP.hvdcdps@nationalgrid.com using the subject wording ‘Registering interest for National Grid HVDC DPS’ and include in the body of the message your Ariba AN numbers (Network ID), name, email address and contact phone number for all contacts within your organization who will need to receive Ariba messages and administer your online submissions. Multiple IDs' from the same Applicant will be grouped for messages to each Applicant. The PQQ document will ask for other contact details such as those responsible for submissions etc. National Grid will then invite you to the Ariba event titled ‘WS937556628 HVDC Technical Services and Consultancy — DPS’ where all of the PQQ documentation is contained. Including an Instructions for Participants document.
