Design and Installation of an Interactive Immersive Experience PAZMÁS – The Armada Across Seas and Borders Under Theme 1– Local Community Regeneration and Transformation Part of Sligo PEACEPLUS Plan

Sligo County Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Contractor to develop and implement an immersive audiovisual experience at the Spanish Armada Visitor Centre, Grange, Co. Sligo, including design, development, equipment, installation and a 5 year maintenance contract. The aim of this audiovisual installation is to retell the story, either in part or in full, reflecting the story of the Armada and its tragic ending at Streedagh or the more recent discoveries of the shipwrecks. We require the use of Extended Technology - Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) or some other form of immersive audiovisual technology to blend the virtual and real worlds in retelling the Spanish Armada story, in whole or in part, in a dynamic, entertaining and educational way. The installation will be located in a small room (dimensions approx. 4m x 3m) within the Spanish Armada Visitor centre. There will be a requirement for the installation to be dynamic, engaging and educational, highlighting the Armada using modern audiovisual technology. As a separate part of this project, the room will be upgraded and modernised, to facilitate the installation of the audiovisual experience. In advance of the submission of a proposal, interested qualified parties are invited to visit the Spanish Armada Visitor Centre to view the premises and facilities at first hand. This can be done by appointment via the eTenders messaging service. Any site visits undertaken shall be conducted at the bidder’s own discretion and expense, outside the scope of this tender and without forming part of any contractual agreement.
