CT for Østfold Hospital

Ostfold Hospital Trust, Kalnes Department, would like to replace its three CT machines, and would therefore like tenders for an advanced CT. Lot 1: Østfold Hospital Trust, Kalnes would like to procure a new CT. This will replace the oldest of our three CTs, and will function as an emergency CT with 24/7 operation. The new machine will be placed in an area where there are currently CT machines that will be kept. This will entail moving an existing CT in order to make room for the new machine that will now be procured. 22,000 examinations a year are currently carried out with the emergency CT at Østfold Hospital Trust, Kalnes. High reliability, good user friendliness, and work flow will therefore be weighted. The machine will be used for most types of examinations. CT caput including emergency stroke examination, CT thorax (HRCT, tumour examination, lung embolism, etc.), CT emergency abdomen, oncology, and skeleton, angiography, and multi-trauma examinations. In addition we need to run CTA coronary vessels and TAVI. We would therefore like a scanner with a large gantry opening, good z-axis coverage, and a powerful generator. The machine must give good picture quality, also with low radiation dosage. We would like a system with modern AI and/or iterative reconstruction algorithms and good possibilities for reducing metal artefacts. Possibility of multi-energy absorption is required. A good multi-energy system is wanted with functional integration for viewing examinations in Sectra PACS. Good functionality with intuitive user interface is desirable. In addition, an option is wanted for the following: 1 CT for the Kalnes Department, with the same specifications as mentioned in the requirements specification for the main delivery. Disassembly and buy-back of existing equipment. Disassembly and disposal of existing equipment. Course for 2 medical technical engineers. Training/course for physicists. Service contract levels 0, 1, 2, and 3, the South Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority Service Contract. Pipe guarantee. Phantom for quality control suitable for multi-energy. Moving CT 1 to CT 2. Upgrade programme for 5 years.
