Description

For the provision of suitably qualified Educational Psychologists who can complete Provider assessments to eligible children and young people across Stoke-on-Trent. Stoke-on-Trent City Council has a duty to ensure that Providers are available to complete a range of assessments under the Children’s and Families Act 2014, including the SEND Code of Practice and associated regulations. As part of the Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan process, Providers are required to: • Complete the educational psychology assessment • Complete the educational psychology report • Provide psychological advice for education, health and care needs assessments. The SEND Code of Practice 2015 set out a list of professionals and agencies from whom the LA must seek advice as part of the statutory assessment. Psychological advice and information from an educational psychologist who should normally be employed or commissioned by the local authority must be sought. Keywords: Psychology
