Request for information: CAP Network

Description

The Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine (DAFM) is considering conducting a future tendering exercise for a services contract on behalf of the management of a National Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Network for farmers and rural communities in Ireland. The requirements for National CAP Networks are set out in Article 126 of Regulation (EU) 2021/2115 of the European Parliament and the Council (Strategic Plan Regulation). It is envisaged that the future CAP Network will be provided by an external market operator to be procured in accordance with public sector rules. DAFM intends to run a competitive procurement process in due course. As part of this process, DAFM wishes to take preliminary market soundings to identify market capabilities, for addressing the needs of our organisation. The purpose of this Request For Information (RFI) is to assist us in developing a deeper understanding of the market, prior to the launching of a formal procurement process.
