Provision of Occupational Health Services

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is striving to reduce sickness absence rates on a year-by-year basis. This is a very important corporate objective, and all Heads of Service have been sent individual targets on the number of days sickness for their service compared to 2025/26. To achieve these targets, it will be vital to work in partnership with a professional and responsive occupational health service. To support us with our objective, Council wishes to engage the services of professional occupational health providers with the appropriate expertise, facilities and resources to provide a comprehensive and responsive occupational health service. Employee numbers are currently approximately 650. The anticipated contract period is 1 November 2026 – 31 October 2028 (with an option, by the Council, to extend for a further period of up to 24 months, subject to review and performance).
