Pre-market Engagement on Methane Stripping Plants to treat trade effluent

Description

The Highland Council is looking to gather market intelligence on the options to remove methane within a landfill leachate to allow it to achieve current trade effluent standards The Council has a closed landfill site at Portree, Isle of Skye. The leachate from this site is currently treated as a trade effluent through a local waste water treatment works. Due to changes in the trade effluent consent the Council is now required to lower the methane content of this trade effluent to a specified level (detailed in the attached documents). The Council is hence looking to undertake a market engagement on the solutions available in advance of any formal procurement exercise.
