Published

Description

Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council is looking to receive quotations from provider bidders for supply, support, and management of the Council’s wide area network (WAN) and local area network (LAN). The Council is seeking a single supplier or single lead supplier to provide the following requirements under a single contract for the following technical areas: Area 1: SD-WAN solution. The council requires an SD-WAN solution to replace the current IPVPN network provision to 48 council buildings within the Local Authority boundary and one out-of-borough site supported by the Council for network connectivity. The bidder must also provide the Council with the capability to add additional SD-WAN sites during the contract period if and when required. Area 2: LAN & Wireless Hardware Support, Monitoring & Maintenance. In addition, under this framework agreement, the Council also require support, maintenance & monitoring for the existing switching infrastructure providing network connectivity at each of the 48 in-borough and 1 out-of-borough WAN sites described in Area 1. The support and maintenance of the Council’s current corporate & guest wireless infrastructure is also a requirement of this further competition. The Council is also looking for options around the support of its public wireless infrastructure. These lots will require the selected provider to work proactively with the Council and provide a solution whist at the same time understanding the Council’s current and emerging business needs during the life of the contract to ensure maximum value for money is achieved to meet challenging efficiency targets. It is your responsibility to ensure that the completed submission is uploaded successfully on The Chest by the deadline specified. Bidders are advised that the deadline set out above is absolute. You are advised to upload your submission well in advance of the deadline to avoid any technical issues that might arise causing you to fail to meet the deadline which would lead to the rejection of your submission. The Council is conscious that Bidders spend a huge amount of time, effort and expense in putting together a submission and is keen to ensure that no bid is rejected for this reason.
