24/006 ­ Provision of Network Services & Works Description: Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) are planning to deliver a national Network Services and Works contracts which will be divided into two (2) separate Lots, with each Lot awarded separately. Lot 1 - Distribution Network Services, Works and Operations Contract Lot 2 - Transmission Network Services, Works and Operations Contract Lot 1 - Distribution Network Services, Works and Operations Contract: It is envisaged that the scope will include, but may not be limited to, the provision of all required services and works associated with the following: • Distribution Networks PE Services Mains & Services Installation & alteration Excavation & Reinstatement • Steel Manufacture Low & Medium pressure skids Meter Protection Steel mains & services • Distribution Networks Emergency Response & Services • Distribution Networks Leak Maintenance & Repair Service relays, cut­offs & reconnection. Valve Maintenance & repair General distribution maintenance activities • Distribution Networks Leak Survey Services • Distribution Networks Metering Services Domestic, industrial & commercial meter installation & exchange & ancillary pipework Meter box repair & battery exchange Metallic pipework renewal • Distribution Networks Meter Reading Services Biomethane/Hydrogen Connections and associated civil works. • Any other ancillary works associated with the above. Lot 2 - Transmission Network Services, Works and Operations Contract: It is envisaged that the scope will include, but may not be limited to, the provision of all required services and works associated with the following: • Transmission Networks Emergency Response Services • Transmission Network Preventative Maintenance Visual & Function checks PRS overhauls Mechanical & Electrical PSR inspections Installation painting Heating overhauls Electrical maintenance Electrical, Communication & Instrumentation Planned maintenance Metering & site calibrations ATEX inspections Cathodic protection • Reactive & Corrective Maintenance Electrical, Communication & Instrumentation corrective works Mechanical corrective works Pipeline inspections Land drainage • Large Transmission Connections Construction of transmission infrastructure (Steel pipelines and Above Ground Installations) • Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Communications & Instrumentation upgrade works. General civils & excavation Steel pipeline laying & fixing & associated works • Biomethane/Hydrogen connections and associated civil works. The scope may also include the supply of materials or other such ancillary services or works to support the successful delivery of the projects. This PIN notice and associated Expression of Interest will give Contractors an opportunity to provide information to GNI on their capabilities, expertise and knowledge which in turn will allow GNI to develop the Contract in an informed manner. Lot 1: 24/006 - Lot 1 - Distribution Network Services, Works and Operations Contract Provision of gas services for the distribution network including mains & service installations, alteration and removal. Distribution metering services, installation, maintenance & removal. Emergency Response, leak repair and maintenance. Steel manufacturing.
