Collection and Recycling of Scrap Metals from Council Household Recycling Centres (HRC’s).

The Council requires a service for the collection, haulage and recycling of scrap metals from its Household Recycling Centres. The contractor shall provide the storage containers for the contract waste at each site. The purpose of this PIN is to notify the market of the requirement in the future, as well as reduce the timeframes for tendering once this is live. Place of Performance The Council has 3 sites at the following locations:- • Carryduff, 6 Comber Road, Carryduff, BT8 8AN • The Cutts, Derriaghy, BT17 9HN • Drumlough, Dromara Road, Hillsborough, BT26 6QA Tonnage per site 1 April 2021 – 31 March 2022 Scrap Metal HRC Site Tonnes Carryduff 166 Cutts 447 Drumlough 104 Total 717 Additional information: Anticipated contract start date will be 1 July 2023 for an initial period of one year with the option for the Council to extend the contract by any period, or periods, up to a maximum of a further four years extension subject to review, satisfactory performance and continued need for the service. Dates are provisional and may be changed at the Council’s absolute discretion.
