RFT for the Supply Delivery and Installation of a Bioreactor Platform for small scale fermentation for University College Cork (UCC)

Published

Description

Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery and installation of a bioreactor platform for small-scale fermentation. The bioreactor platform must be capable to run parallel experiments in all the benchtop bioreactors with independent process control. The platform must be able to run as integrated and/or individual set of bioreactors with individual setpoints (e.g. Temp., pH etc.). The working volume of each bioreactor must be in the range of 200 to 400 mL. The operations provide measurement, control and continuous data logging for key process parameters (pH, DO2, temperature and stirrer speed). The bioreactor platform must enable the researchers to perform design of experiments and record process parameters reliably to facilitate technology transfer to pilot/industry scale. Lot 1: Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery and installation of a bioreactor platform for small-scale fermentation. The bioreactors must have a configurable head plate for mounting sensors and other-relevant inlet/outlet connections (liquid sampling, dosing, inoculation port, gassing ports, etc.). Robustness of the bioreactor vessel and related parts for autoclave sterilisation is essential. Flexibility to operate in batch/fed-batch/continuous mode and accommodate vessels of different working volumes (e.g. 200 and 400 mL) / type (e.g. single-use/ re-use vessels) is highly desired. The capability for exhaust gas analysis is essential. The bioreactor platform must enable the researchers to perform design of experiments and record process parameters reliably to facilitate technology transfer to pilot/industry scale.
