The procurement concerns a framework agreement for consultancy services for verification under REDD+. Norway has a number of bilateral agreements with forested land through the Norwegian Climate and Forest Initiative, which aims to reduce deforestation through performance-based payments for achieving emissions reductions. As part of these agreements, it is stipulated that the achieved results must be verified by an independent third party, as verified figures form the basis for determining performance-based payments from Norway.
