Description
Established in 2010 Sidney Stringer Academy, previously known as Sidney Stringer School, was opened in 1972 as the first urban community school in England. The school was rated as Ofsted Good and was rebuilt on the same site, following a fire in September 2007. It formed part of the city’s Swanswell Regeneration Initiative in Hillfields. After 3 years of opening the Academy, Ofsted visited and the Academy achieved an Outstanding judgement. Following this in January 2014 the Sidney Stringer Multi Academy Trust was formed. The Trust now provides an education for over 3500 children in five schools, soon to be six, through all stages, ages, and settings: there are currently two secondary schools, two primary schools (one a Free School), a Broad Spectrum Special school and, soon to join, a Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) special school: 1.Sidney Stringer Academy (SSA) 2.Sidney Stringer Primary (SSP) 3.Radford Primary (RAD) 4.Riverbank School (RIV) 5.Ernesford Grange Community Academy (EGA) 6.Woodfield (may potentially join at a later stage) Further information regarding the Trust can be obtained here: https://sidneystringertrust.org.uk/ Tender information: The successful tenderer will be required to provide school uniforms to include a full ordering system at Sidney Stringer Multi Academy Trust. The contract term being tendered for 3 years, from 16/05/2027 – 15/05/2030. There is an option for a further extension period for up to two additional years to 15/05/2032. These dates are applicable to SSA, RAD, EGA and RIV. Sidney Stringer Primary’s contract will start a little earlier on 26/04/2027 where the initial 3 year contract period will conclude 15/05/2030 with an option for a further extension period for up to two additional years to 15/05/2032. This tender project is seeking to appoint an experienced supplier to provide high quality value for money uniforms for the Schools’ pupils coupled with delivering excellent customer service to parents and the Schools. We understand the concerns regarding costs for parents and carers and our absolute commitment is to provide uniforms that excel in both quality and affordability. The Schools welcomes providers that are able to deliver cost effective solutions. Uniforms are currently supplied by a combination of Clive Marks Schoolwear and Brigade Clothing Ltd. The current model is a combination of purchasing via a physical shop, online and direct from the school (in limited circumstances). Within this tender and for the model for the new contract, the Trust is open to hear from companies that can offer online only models (on the basis that a pop-up shop is developed within each school), or a hybrid mix of online and local shops providing customer service and item availability is not compromised. The Trust is not obliged to accept the lowest price submitted for this tender, rather it is keen to secure best value from this contract and to deliver best value to its students. The Trust seeks a contractor that is keen to work in partnership and who will deliver to its highest abilities, at all times.
