Specialist Support with Feeding Plan to enable Hospital Discharge / Placement

Description

This urgent contract award relates to the specific, complex support required to enable feeding for a patient currently within a local acute hospital upon discharge to local placement arrangements within a community setting. The patient is currently subject to Court of Protection oversight and frequent court rulings. The support required includes administering feeds twice per day as part of a structured feeding plan under clinical supervision using the least restrictive methods of restraint. Lot 1: NHS Cheshire & Merseyside ICB - Liverpool Place has awarded this contract on the grounds of urgency for the provision of specific, complex support required to enable feeding for a patient currently within a local acute hospital upon discharge to local placement arrangements within a community setting. The patient is currently subject to Court of Protection oversight and frequent court rulings. The support required includes administering feeds twice per day as part of a structured feeding plan under clinical supervision using the least restrictive methods of restraint. The Individual requires intensive interventions as part of their discharge plan which needed to be mobilised quickly and safely. The Contract has been awarded for an initial period of 6 months (22nd September 2025 to 21st March 2026) with an option to extend for a further 6 months (21st August 2026).
