RBGE is upgrading its visitor-facing interpretive offer, an undertaking managed and developed by the Interpretation and Design Team. The offer encompasses audience-focused, interpretive media for each of the Gardens, the collections and ongoing research. It includes exhibitions, audio-visual presentations, interpretation panels, living history, signage, guided tours and publications. Lot 1: The Interpretation and Design Team wishes to appoint an Interpretation Graphic and Wayfinding, Map and Visitor Management Signage Production contractor on a call-off basis. The contractor will provide, and in some instances install, interpretation graphic panels and wayfinding, map and visitor management signage for a range of projects for both indoor and outdoor environments at RBGE’s four Gardens. The contractor will have experience in delivering long-life (5-10 years), high-quality graphics incorporating wrapped and cut vinyl, paper, Tyvek or similar, mounted onto a range of different substrates and also, on occasion, printed direct to substrate for short-term signage. These will use a variety of substrates including (but not limited to) dibond, cut vinyl, Foamex and birch ply, recyclable where possible. The contractor needs specialist knowledge of this range of materials and suitable fixing methods. There may be occasions when we ask the successful candidate to suggest appropriate solutions for particular locations and environments. Tenderers who do not demonstrate that experience and understanding or fail to answer all of the ITT questions will not be considered.
