Description

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced consultant(s) to explore and develop the use of IOT and LoRaWAN technology as a way of supporting and aiding identified issues across several market towns in rural Carmarthenshire.The commissioning of this contract will support aspirations of developing a network of SMART towns across rural Carmarthenshire and will align with the current work being undertaken across 10 rural towns across the County focusing on economic growth.This contract will build upon the creation of town specific action plans, formed through community engagement which have identified the needs and opportunities that IOT can offer rural market towns.Action plans can be found in APPENDIX A.This pilot project is being commissioned by Carmarthenshire County Council, as a joint pilot project funded by the county’s Local Action Group, Grŵp Cefn Gwlad who are responsible for the delivery of the LEADER programme.
