Description

Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) was established in 2010 at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. The vision is to strengthen interdisciplinary research that transforms the basic understanding of the mechanisms involved in metabolic health and disease, and to accelerate this knowledge toward new prevention and treatment strategies. Lot 1: The purchase of Fibroscan 530 Compact (Echosens) from MediPlast is an essential part of the data collection for the Danish Precision Health Initiative, where we collect data on multiple aspects of the cardiometabolic health status of participants. MediPlast is, to the best of our knowledge, the only Danish provider of the Fibroscan 530 Compact® for non-invasive and quantitative examination of the liver. It is important that the provider is Danish as the training of research staff must be in Danish. In addition, it is essential that it is the Fibroscan 530 Compact (Echosens) as this equipment has been used in previous studies which we wish to align with and be able to compare analysis.
