Description

Provision of a community based respiratory and cardiology service for patients within West London CCG. This is a consultant led service supported by a multidisciplinary team of specialist community nursing and allied health professionals. The service supports a reduction of the prevalence and impact of CVD and respiratory conditions. Direct award of an interim contract for a period of 12 months to enable the CCG to complete work to review new pathways. Recognising its obligations and responsibilities under the NHS (Procurement Patient Choice and Competition) (No. 2) Regulations 2013, the CCG has assessed the most appropriate route to awarding this contract, having regard to the necessity to secure continuity of these essential patient services and has concluded that the incumbent provider will assure the safest solution and being considered the only technically capable provider at this time. The CCG reserves the right to extent this interim contract for up to a further 12 months (potential total of 24 months) where necessary.
