The Molecular Pathology Section would like to procure an HTS instrument for medium to high scale sequencing. The equipment will be used for mutation analysis of DNA and RNA in neoplasia and solid growths. It must be suitable for the detection of SNV, divisions, changes in the number of copies and fusion transcripts. In the future the instrument will also be used for MRD, TMB and sequencing cfDNA, exom, transcriptome and genome. The procurement also includes signing a framework agreement for the purchase of the equipment specified consumables. This framework agreement is ongoing and applies as long as the instrument is in use. The Molecular Pathology Section would like to procure an HTS instrument for medium to high scale sequencing. It must be suitable for the detection of SNV, divisions, changes in the number of copies, and fusion transcripts. In time it will also be used for MRD, sequencing cfDNA, exome, transcriptome and genome, — the system must have flexible sequencing output from 40 — 250 Gb data per run, with a minimum read length of 150 bases and an option for a new sample set when the system is already processing samples, — the system must be flexible as regards sequencing protocols and read lengths — from 50 to 150 bp paired end, — the system must have separate integrated cassettes for reagents in order to minimise the risk of 'carry-over' contamination, — the system must have a software platform integration for quick secondary analysis of the sequencing data and a bioinformatics tool for alignment and varant calling, — the system must generate data in standard formats that is compatible with bioinformatic analysis pipelines without extra costs, — the system must have software ('LMS functionality') for tracing, administering and documenting samples and work flow, — the system ought to be a table model due to lack of available floor space.
