Construction work for sewage pipes

Bergen Kommune [Bergen Municipality] has approx. 900 km of water pipes and approx. 1 200 km of sewage pipes. There is a major focus on renewal of sewage pipelines and the aim is to renew 0.7 %-1 % of the pipeline network per year and of this, 70 % of the sewage network renewal and 50 % of the water pipeline network will occur through the use of excavation-free solutions (NoDig). This contract applies to: — renewal of municipal sewage network (waste water, common sewage and surface water) with pipe-lining: • Glass fibre lining curing with UV, • Pipe-lining curing with LED, • Felt-lining curing with water/steam; — installation of short and long caps in connections/connectors to the municipal network; — rehabilitation of manholes, primarily sewage manholes; — pipe inspection of pipelines in connection with renewal assignments. It is planned to use up to NOK 50 million per year for renewal of the sewage network with this contract. This is a considerable increase compared with previous years' contracts for such assignments. It is also an instrument for increasing the speed of the renewal of the water and sewage pipeline network in Bergen Municipality. The Water and Sewage Agency retains the right to determine which of our assignments will be executed on this framework agreement and which assignments will be included on the contract/other contracts. The assignments must be executed for the entire water and sewage network in Bergen Municipality and not for one specific work site. NB: the contracting authority will also enter into a separate framework agreement for excavation on the water and sewage network including unblocking and connection pipes. The framework agreement will include facilitation (excavation) pre works in connection with pipe-lining renovation.
