Supply of Road Traffic Analytics and Transport Data

Description

The National Transport Authority requires access to existing traffic and transport related datasets for the Republic of Ireland, covering all Motorway, National and Regional roads, and as many minor routes as available. This data should be in an accessible format (web-portal, API or similar) and ideally will be machine readable to facilitate extracting multiple queries in a short space of time. Note that post processing or bespoke formatting is not required as part of this tender. The Authority will carry out its own processing and analysis on the data extracted from existing databases. Specifically, The Authority requires the following datasets: • Historical Journey time data: Journey time data for the Republic of Ireland, covering all Motorway, National and Regional roads, and as many minor routes as available for all date ranges and by time intervals (1-hour intervals or less). • Origin-Destination (O-D) data: the number of trips between specified points within the road network of the Republic of Ireland. • Real-time journey time data: up to date information collected and available in real-time about congestion, speeds, and traffic incidents, focusing on specific routes or road segments for the Republic of Ireland.
