Description

A key deliverable of our public engagement programme is the development of a mobile MedTech Exhibition. In partnership with Galway City Museum (GCM), a Galway City Council Local Authority Museum, CÚRAM are seeking to develop this exhibition to profile the impact of medical device research and technology in Ireland. The exhibition will tell the story of how the west of Ireland has become one of the top 5 hubs for ‘MedTech’ research and development worldwide. It will provide an introduction to Medical Devices, showcase the role Galway has played in creating the MedTech eco-system, highlight the personal stories of people impacted by medical device research and explore what the future of wellness might look like. The exhibition is intended to be on display at Galway City Museum for 12-18months duration, after which time it will be toured nationally (universities and gallery locations). To this end, the design of the exhibit must incorporate the flexibility required to allow for this, by being transportable and easy to store and re-install.
