Description
The Royal Hospital Donnybrook is seeking quotations for the internal painting and decorating of the entire hospital, to be implemented over a five year period. The hospital building has been divided into ten zones of varying size as indicated in the enclosed diagram, and detailed in the descriptive table. It is envisaged that at least two of these zones will be allocated to the successful tenderer each year, subject to ability of the hospital to allocate the required resources. These zones include in-patient wards, residential bedrooms, en-suite rooms, day rooms, kitchenettes, stairways, hospital corridors and administrative offices. Where relevant, ground floor areas include staircases up to and including the related landings and lobbies on the 1st floor level. These zones include in-patient wards, residential bedrooms, en-suite rooms, day rooms, kitchenettes, stairways, hospital corridors and administrative offices. Where relevant, ground floor areas include staircases up to and including the related landings and lobbies on the 1st floor level. Tenderers are requested to submit ‘all-in’ prices to bring all surfaces in each zone, including walls, ceilings, skirting, doorways and woodwork, to a professional finish using high-quality materials appropriate to the area concerned within a four week period. The allocated period will include any time required for setting-up of scaffolding and preparation on-site. The price must include appropriate treatment of surfaces where there are residual issues following repairs e.g. damp stains post repair of a leak, flaking paint, holes, dents, scratches or scuff marks. Each tenderer is expected to provide a comprehensive price including labour, equipment (including that required for staircases) and materials, exclusive of VAT, for each of the 10 zones to be completed within the time frame envisaged i.e. ten quotations in total. We expect some variation in the quotation for different zones, given some variation in zone sizes. • Submission will be by letter (post or delivery) addressed to the Services & Development Lead, The Royal Hospital Donnybrook • During the tender submission phase: prospective tenderers encouraged to arrange visits to the site in order to take measurements and discuss materials.
