Description

Works are designed to provide a reliable potable water supply to the visitor centre on Devenish Island. Key elements include the installation, testing and commissioning of a borewell directly adjacent to the visitor centre, including design and installation of associated headworks such as pumps and water treatment equipment. Additional works comprise construction of a lean-to plant room and an open-sided oak-framed store supporting photovoltaic slates, along with all related electrical installations within the site and existing building. Devenish Island is both a State Care Monument and an Area of Special Scientific Interest (ASSI), all Works must be carried out to the highest standards to protect its historic and ecological sensitivities. Site access will be via Trory Jetty, with strict controls on storage and movement of plant and materials. Delivery may occur via barge to designated foreshore areas with protection measures. Works must be completed between 01 Sep 26 and 31 Mar 27. In order to apply for this project you must be registered on the CPD Dynamic Shortlisting system – CIVIL.
