Establish Framework of suitably qualified suppliers to provide ecological services to Irish Lights.

Description

Irish Lights intends to establish a framework of Ecological Subject Matter Experts to provide the following services: Assess Statutory Sanction applications with respect to their potential impact on Natura 2000 sites including flora, fauna, habitats or the environment and to provide advice and/or recommendations in respect to Environmental Reports, Assessments or Mitigation Measures which may be required to protect such flora, fauna, habitats or the environment.  Analyze technical information on ecology where presented in Screening Reports, Shadow Habitats Regulation Assessments, Natura Impact Statements (NIS), etc. and to prepare Appropriate Assessment Screening Reports, Shadow Habitats Regulation Assessments and/or Appropriate Assessment Reports concerning the activities or development proposals of various external Local AtoN providers, where required as part of the Appropriate Assessment process.   Provide Specialist Ecological and Biodiversity Advice on Policies and Procedures under development.  Provision of ad-hoc Ecological Advice as may be required to assist Irish Lights to make informed determinations on Stage 1 (Screening) and Stage 2 (NIS) Appropriate Assessments.
