Leicestershire Adult Sexual Assault Referral Services (SARC)

NHS England (East Midlands) and Leicestershire Office of Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) are exploring future strategic commissioning options for the Adult Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) model for the Leicestershire police force area including: • Forensic Medical Examinations (FME) • NHS SARC Public Health Functions outlined in https://www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/PRN00577-national-service-specification-sexual-assault-referral-centres-updated.pdf . • Access to 24/7 single point of contact centre, • Crisis care, • SARC commissioned 10-15 psychological therapy sessions. The Commissioners wish to understand the capacity and level of expertise within the market to deliver the individual elements of this project and to gain interested parties’ views on the future commissioning model of this service. NB: This information is requested to allow the Commissioners to gauge the size and type of organisations interested in providing the service to ascertain the most appropriate commissioning strategy.
