Provision of broadband Connectivity Services for SD‑WAN Deployment

Description

The Devon Procurement Service are undertaking this procurement on behalf of Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. The DPS is made up 5 NHS entities (University Hospital Plymouth NHS Trust, Torbay & South Devon Foundation Trust, Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust , Devon Partnership Trust, Livewell Southwest). Torbay operates many community sites that are currently connected using BT LES circuits. These services are expensive, inflexible and no longer fit with how we want to operate our network. We are in the process of rolling out SD‑WAN with centrally managed firewalls. This is a key part of our cyber security strategy and will allow us to properly segment and segregate community sites from the wider Trust network. It will also improve resilience while reducing ongoing connectivity costs. To make this work, we need modern, reliable and resilient broadband connectivity at every community site. Each site must have two independent connections so that loss of a single circuit, route or supplier does not take the site offline.
