Dún Laoghaire Harbour have 2 Work Packages that require Geotechnical Site Investigation works. Works Package 1 – Dún Laoghaire Harbour Dredging: Marine Ground Investigation Works Package 1 comprises marine vibrocoring at four scheduled locations, with provision for up to six additional locations where instructed; sampling, logging and associated geotechnical and environmental laboratory testing; and multibeam echosounder, side-scan sonar and magnetometer surveys. The Works will be coordinated with a preceding grab-sampling programme undertaken by others. Works Package 2 – National Watersports Campus: Ground Investigation Works Package 2 comprises a combined land-based and over-water ground investigation, including boreholes with follow-on rotary coring, Standard Penetration Testing, Cone Penetration Testing, vibrocoring, dynamic probing, soakaway testing, trial pits, gas and groundwater monitoring, and environmental waste classification. The scope also includes surveying all investigation locations to ITM coordinates and Malin Head vertical datum, together with the associated sampling, laboratory testing, monitoring and factual reporting requirements.
