The framework agreement is for the supply of audiological equipment which is anticipated to cover the following product categories but not limited to: — audiometers, — tympanometers, — hearing aid fitting equipment, — balance equipment, — video otoscope, — ear scanner, — sound booth, — otoacoustic emissions, — auditory brainstem response, — combined otoacoustic emissions/auditory brain response, — cortical auditory evoked potentials, — automated otoacoustic equipment, — automated auditory brain response, — microsuction equipment, — irrigation equipment, — manual wax picks, — assistive listening devices, — tinnitus therapy devices, — personal hearable devices, — consumables, — calibration and maintenance. It's anticipated that in the first 24 months of the framework agreement the value of purchases will be in the region of GBP 7 000 000. For the full 48-month term if extended the anticipated value will be in the region of GBP 18 000 000. Values are approximate and based on the most recent historical usage information with a forecasted level of growth. This lot contains equipment that is used to diagnose audiological conditions in patients and the associated peripheral equipment with doing so. This lot also contains equipment used to fit hearing aids prescribed as a result of a hearing test as well as equipment used to treat and rehabilitate patients who are experiencing balance issues. Products include: • audiometers, • tympanometers, • combined audiometer/tympanometer, • hearing aid fitting equipment, • balance equipment, • video otoscope, • ear scanner, • sound booth, • otoacoustic emissions, • auditory brainstem response, • combined otoacoustic emissions/auditory brain response, • cortical auditory evoked potentials, • calibration, • maintenance. This lot contains equipment that is used to test newborn babies, as part of NHS England’s Newborn Hearing Screening Program, for any potential hearing related issues, referring them to audiology departments for further testing should it be required. Products include: • automated otoacoustic emissions screening equipment, • automated auditory brain response screening equipment, • calibration, • maintenance. This lot contains equipment that is used within audiology departments and ENT clinics to treat patients with issues of wax within their inner ear. The equipment in this lot is used to help remove and treat excessive wax that can be masking other audiological conditions. Products include: • microsuction equipment, • irrigation equipment, • manual wax picks. This lot contains equipment that is used by patients as personal devices, that are not hearing aids, to help with day to day hearing issues. The lot contains equipment that amplifies sound to allow patients with mild to moderate hearing loss to hear sounds more clearly, as well as equipment to help with the treatment of audiological condition tinnitus. Products include: • assistive listening devices, • tinnitus therapy devices, • personal hearable devices. This lot does not include hearing aids. This lot only contains the single use, disposable products, that are used in conjunction with all of the equipment listed in the above lots. • audiometer consumables • tympanometer consumables, • fitting equipment consumables, • video otoscope consumables, • otoacoustic emissions (OAE) consumables, • auditory brainstem response (ABR) consumables, • newborn hearing screening consumables, • wax management consumables.
