<p>Plan and deliver three community playschemes for children aged 8 to 11-years-old in the Lancaster District. One playscheme must be available to children living in or around the Carnforth area. The three playschemes should provide a selection of social, creative and sport-related activities for up to 120 children per day (up to 40 per playscheme). The playschemes will support Lancaster City Council to deliver on the following council objectives: Healthy and Happy Communities: • Promote benefits of activities that improve mental and social health and wellbeing. • Actively involve young people to design facilities, activities and services which meet their needs. • Supporting wellbeing and ensuring local communities are engaged, involved and connected. • Improving access to the arts, culture, leisure and recreation, supporting our thriving arts and culture sector. A Co-operative, Kind and Responsible Council: • Focused on serving our residents, local organisations and district. • Working in partnership with residents, local organisations and partners recognising the strengths and skills in our community. Lancaster City Council will pay £26,000 towards the cost of delivering the playschemes. The playschemes must run for 4 weeks between Monday 24th July and Friday 1st September 2023. The successful application will be provided with a service-level agreement, which will provide further details and state provisions in which Lancaster City Council can terminate the contract.
