Description
MAG Airport Ltd are looking to procure a framework agreement for the design, installation and commissioning of Airfield Ground Lighting technology for its three airports which are Manchester Airport, London Stansted Airport and East Midlands Airport. This framework is going to be awarded to one contractor that will help MAG Airport Ltd to implement its standardisation strategy and have consistency at all 3 airports. The successful contractor will start with works at London Stansted Airport which is to start as soon as the framework is awarded and works for Manchester Airport and East Midlands will be called-off as and when required. The scope of this framework includes designing of ground lighting technology, works related to installation of the system, commissioning of the system, support services of the system after installation and the successful contractor will be working alongside other contractors e.g. contractors working on runway resurfacing. MMAG Airport Ltd are looking to procure a framework agreement for the design, installation and commissioning of Airfield Ground Lighting technology for its three airports which are Manchester Airport, London Stansted Airport and East Midlands Airport. This framework is going to be awarded to one contractor that will help MAG Airport Ltd to implement its standardisation strategy and have consistency at all 3 airports. The successful contractor will start with works at London Stansted Airport which is to start as soon as the framework is awarded and works for Manchester Airport and East Midlands will be called off as and when required. The works at some airports will comprise of the replacement of the full AGL Control system with new AGL CMS offering full individual lamp control and monitoring, which will facilitate airport mandate to have a system capable of supporting automated routing through individual lamp control. At London Stansted Airport the new system shall include new HMI and associated screens at 2 positions within the tower and a further 2 HMI located in an alternative position on the airfield. There are currently 7 AGL substations on the airfield, which house AGL CMS equipment, CCR’s etc serving the AGL field installation. The existing primary installation is predominantly contained within ducts whilst the secondary installation is installed in a mixture of ducts and saw cuts. Whilst it is intended to retain as much as possible of the existing duct network, the successful contractor will be fully responsible for the replacement of any unusable ducts and the provision of any new ducts and luminaries base, cores seating rings, pots and approach masts as required, to provide a complete working installation.
