Description
The Skipton Sandylands site was established in 1947 by the Coulthurst Trust. The trust protected the land through a number of covenants to be used for the “purpose of rugby, cricket and other kindred sports”. The area of whole of the Sandylands site is designated as Open Space in the Local Plan. The site is identified as being critical to the delivery of leisure opportunities for residents of Skipton and beyond. The Masterplan will ensure this asset is being used to best effect going forward. CDC are seeking quotes to produce a long-term planning document, agreed and endorsed by all stakeholders to provide guidance on future growth for the development of the Sandylands site with a minimum 10 – 15 year reach.
