Scaffolding work

Description

Bergen municipality, the agency for development, hereby invites tenderers to a competition for a contract for the procurement of a scaffolding contractor for project A0570 Bergen City Hall. Bergen CIty Hall was designed by the architect Ealing Viking, and was built in the period 1971-74. The building consists of a tower block with 14 floors and a minor extension, (canteen building with 2 floors), which contains primarily offices, meeting rooms, a canteen and technical rooms distributed throughout the canteen wing and tower block. Both of the buildings have a basement and the basement also goes out under the terrain until the central axis on the tower block's south facade. The basements primarily consist of air-raid shelters, an operations board and cloakrooms. The main construction is slabs, walls and columns made of concrete cast on site. The city hall has a total of 11,500 m2. The project must be BREEAM certified. The project is to be implemented in accordance with TEK17, with some dispensations. The facade work requires scaffolding, and the plan is to work on one long side at a time throughout 2 summer seasons. Lifts, stairs, a lifting platform and scaffolding covers will be established for the facade work. The scaffolding will be used for general transport in and out for external and internal work. The facade scaffolding will be generally prioritised for concrete renovation. A waste station will be established in the form of covers.
