Fostering & Continuing Care Services for Children and Young People

West Dunbartonshire Council is committed to Keeping the Promise for children and young people and improving outcomes for those with care experience. The Council intends to establish a framework for Fostering and Continuing Care Services for Children and Young People. The service specification has been co-produced with children, young people, families and existing partners. The Council wishes to notify the market of this forthcoming opportunity and welcomes interest from registered and experienced foster care providers. Lot 1: West Dunbartonshire Council intends to establish a framework agreement for the provision of Fostering and Continuing Care Services for Children and Young People. The Council has worked collaboratively with children, young people, families and current providers to develop a co-produced service specification which supports its commitment to Keeping the Promise. The framework will seek registered and experienced providers capable of delivering nurturing, resilient and inclusive foster care and continuing care placements. The Council wishes to support children and young people to remain as close to their local communities as possible while achieving positive outcomes. An Invitation to Tender is expected to be published in August 2026. The anticipated tender period will be approximately six to eight weeks. Dates will be confirmed within the procurement documents.
