Description

Procurement of 1 ultrasound apparatus for the medical lung department at Ullevål Hospital. The apparatus will primarily be used on the ward and in outpatients for an assessment of pleura fluid, an assessment of pulmonary parenchyma as regards infiltrate and tissue density (congestion/pneumonia), an assessment of diaphragm function, as well as an assessment of pneumothorax. In addition it will be used for pleura tapping and biopsies of lesions close to the pleura and lesions in the thorax wall. Approx. 600 procedures are carried out a year. The apparatus will be used on the ward, so it must be easy to handle and manoeuvre, also in small areas. We do not want a hand-held apparatus.
