U16 Cancer Patient Experience Survey 2027-2030

The Authority seeks Pre-Market Engagement RFI responses from Suppliers that may help it in the preparation of the future tender. Under 16 Cancer Patient Experience Survey (U16 CPES) is an annual national survey, first launched in 2020. It measures the experience of children and young people (CYP) under the age of 16 receiving care or treatment for cancer, and their parents and carers. The latest National Cancer Plan for England: Delivering World Class Outcomes, published in February 2026, continues to place a strong emphasis on patient experience. This focus is further reinforced by the inclusion of a dedicated chapter on Children and Young People’s Cancer, which highlights experience of care as a key priority for children and young people (CYP) with cancer. The U16 CPES has been designed to monitor national progress on experience of cancer care; to provide information to drive local quality improvements; to assist commissioners and providers of cancer care; and to inform the work of the various charities and stakeholder groups supporting cancer patients. This is conducted by the awarded Supplier carrying out four cycles of the Under 16 Cancer Patient Experience Survey which includes co-ordination and implementation of survey method, preparation of the survey materials; sending out questionnaires; receiving and managing responses and producing outputs.
