UiO intends to enter into a contract with Bruker for the procurement of a mass spectrometer pursuant to § 13-4 in the public procurement regulations According to UiO's market insight based on a recent market hearing, only Bruker has critical functions that are decisive for using the system in our applications (compatibility with the current data collection methods and quick data collection speed). Lot 1: UiO intends to enter into a contract with Bruker for the procurement of a mass spectrometer pursuant to § 13-4 in the public procurement regulations According to UiO's market insight and a recent market hearing, there are currently several companies that offer electro spray-mass spectrometry instruments with ionic mobility for proteomic related analysis. However only Bruker has critical functions that are decisive for using the system in our applications. These critical functions include: The MS instrument must be fully compatible with the existing data collection methods that use ionic mobility and for real time database searches that are used in PCF. The instrument must also have quick data collection speed focussed on producing good quality peptide identification and quantification data. See the attached document for further details.
