Preliminary Market Consultation: Public Lighting Maintenance and Ancillary Works for Kildare County Council

Please note that this Prior Information Notice is for information purposes only. It is not a call for competition, and no tender documents are available at this stage. Kildare County Council is intending to go out to the market in 2024 with respect to the provision of public lighting maintenance and ancillary services. Prior to commencing this procurement process we would like to engage with third party providers. The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) and market consultation is to ensure interested suppliers have an opportunity to provide feedback and prepare themselves for Kildare County Councils upcoming requirements. The scope covers an area of 1,695 square kilometres. This relates to approximately 22,300 lights in County Kildare, located in Residential roads, Parks, River walks, Public amenities, Urban and Rural traffic routes and National primary and Secondary routes. The general range of work envisaged includes , but not limited to the following: • Routine repairs and associated observations • Major Fault Repairs requiring underground cable fault location, repairs and column replacement • Modifications/Alterations/Upgrades to existing lighting stock • Electrical and Structural inspections and Surveys • Associated Civil Works • Emergency Attendances • Tree and vegetation pruning and removal • Installation of and alterations to public lighting schemes • Night Patrols along agreed routes. We would like invite any interested parties to register your interest through the message function on the E-Tenders portal or through email - procurement@kildarecoco.ie, using the above title in the subject bar.
