Description

The A39 Roundswell Cyclebridge consists of a 41m span steel Bowstring Warren Girder Cyclebridge over the A39 Atlantic highway near Barnstaple. It has 250m of steelwork approach ramps and some small earthworks approach ramps together with 500m of cyclepaths. Access is from B3232 570m along the line of the new cyclepath on the South and via the industrial estate to the North. The main span has provision for the dualling of the A39 in future. The detailed design and checking of the bridge and substructure will be included in the works.
