Autoclave Inspection, Servicing and Repairs

Aberdeenshire Council have a statutory requirement to make sure that all Autoclaves within schools are inspected and maintained to make sure that they are fit for use. This contract is to find a suitably qualified person/company to carry out the annual service, test and pressure vessel inspections and where appropriate any repairs in Academies throughout the year. There are 17 locations who have identified they have an Autoclave. The exact number of Autoclaves will be confirmed at the next stage of procurement. Once the annual service, test and pressure vessel inspections have been carried out a detailed report of all equipment in each establishment is required and any equipment which requires repair/replacement must be informed to the site at the time of inspection. The Authority will arrange transportation of the Autoclaves to one Academy for the annual service, test and pressure vessel inspections of all Autoclaves. The annual service, test and pressure vessel inspections would need to take place over the October school holiday period.
