Øvre Eiker Municipality would like tenders for the hire of computers and tablets for pupils in the primary and secondary schools Budget: The contracting authority has approved a budget for procuring tablets and computers for pupils of 750 000 NOK excluding VAT per annum. Tenderers can submit a tender with a higher price, but must be clear that the contracting authority can reduce the number of computers so as not to exceed the budget. The contracting authority will choose the tender with the best mex between price and quality, and would rather reduce the number of computers if necessary. The budget must cover 240 tablets, including insurance, and approx. 370 computers, including insurance. Hire period: The hire period for the tablets must be 4 years. The hire period for the computers must be 3 years. Description of needs: General: The tablets and computers must be delivered with a browser/operative system that makes it possible to work with software in the cloud. It must be possible to use the equipment for video/picture editing with good results. It must be possible to make use of streaming services such as video from Youtube and equivalent, without problems due to the computers'/tablets' performance. Tablets. The tablets must be compatible with the following software: — Office 365, — bookcreator, — skoleskrift, — kidspiration, — showbie, — tegnebrett, — explain everything, — computers. The contracting authority would first like computers without a 'touchscreen', but it must be possible to upgrade to a 'touchscreen'. It is in the tenderer's interest to make such an option interesting for the contracting authority, and the price must be given in the tender (but not in the price sheet). The contracting authority expects that there will also be a need to procure new power supplies in case the current power supplies are damaged/lost during the contract period. When a new power supply is in place, the PC/tablet must be considered as complete upon return after the concluded hire period.
