A Variable Speed Drive (VSD) is a device that controls the speed and torque of electric motors by varying the frequency and voltage of the electrical power supplied to the motor. This allows the motor to operate at the precise speed required for the application, rather than running at full speed all the time. They also offer operational flexibility by allowing for the adjustment of pump speeds based on real-time conditions, providing greater flexibility and responsiveness in water management. This adaptability helps in maintaining consistent water quality and supply, even under varying operational conditions. An overview of the contract scope is as follows: * Design, manufacture, test and delivery of VSD’s having an output in the range of 1 to 250kW * Undertake site harmonic measurement surveys pre and post installation for G5/5-1 power quality compliance, and provide reports on site harmonic compliance * Supply technical product documentation * Delivery to MCC manufacturer works (or other) address in the UK * Provide general configuration and diagnostic software licence(s) for full product range offered
