Provision of engineering support to WICS

Description

Provision of engineering consultancy services to support the review of investment plans in Scottish Water’s SRC27 Business Plan, with a focus on project scope, cost benchmarking, and risk allowances. Lot 1: WICS seeks to appoint an experienced engineering consultancy to provide independent technical support in reviewing Scottish Water’s investment plans under the Strategic Review of Charges 2027 (SRC27). The contract will involve a detailed engineering and cost review of selected projects and programmes within Scottish Water’s draft business plan. The consultant will assess the appropriateness of proposed scopes, cost estimates' robustness, overheads benchmarking, and risk allowances. Findings will inform WICS’s regulatory approach to setting customer charges for the 2027–33 period. The contract is expected to run for approximately 3 months, commencing June 2025.
