MG ALBA seeks timely, practical and solutions-focused legal advice. Deliverables will depend on need but typically might include oral advice of a practical nature, written notes of advice on legal or contractual matters, contract authorship or review, policy authorship or review. Lot 1: MG ALBA wishes to engage the services of one or more providers of legal services. The volume and frequency of service provision will depend on need and circumstances. MG ALBA does not guarantee a minimum level of service provision. The services sought include: 1) General Media Law and IPR as they relate to contracts for the acquisition of television programmes and other media content. Advice on programme purchase agreements; licences; inter-party agreements in co-funds and/or co-productions; development agreements; sports rights agreements; music rights; writer’s agreements; social media related content; websites and social media platforms; trademarks and copyright matters. 2) Corporate Governance and Compliance Advice on procurement, conflicts of interest, data protection and privacy, company policy formulation etc. 3) HR / Employment Advice on employment law, employer’s obligations, TUPE, staffing issues and disputes. 4) Property and Leasing Advice on property leases and obligations arising therefrom, both as lead tenant and as lessor to campus tenants. 5) Litigation Advice in relation to any actual litigation or litigation risk. It is not possible to predict annual contract value but, based on past experience, this might range from 20,000 GBP to 50,000 GBP For the purposes of this tender a total annual value of 50,000 GBP may be assumed, divided across all suppliers depending on the nature of work. The actual value may be less.
